World Suicide Prevention Day:

World Suicide Prevention Day

The International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and the World Health Organisation (WHO) want us to start conversation with friends, colleagues or family members who we think may be struggling.
According to IASP, more than 800,000 people a year die by suicide, and up to 25 times as many make a suicide attempt.

perfluoroalkyl substances

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (together, PFASs) are a class of man-made chemicals. They are not found naturally in the environment.  PFOA and PFOS have been the most extensively produced and studied of these chemicals.  Both chemicals are very persistent in the environment and in the human body.
